decades before computer graphics, before music videos, even before "Fantasia" (the 1940 version), there were the abstract animated films of Oskar Fischinger (1900-1967), master of "absolute" or nonobjective filmmaking. He was cinema's Kandinsky, an animator who, beginning in the 1920's in Germany, created exquisite "visual music" using geometric patterns and shapes choreographed tightly to classical music and jazz. November 25th was my b-day. but on that day something crazy happen in NY city. A young man was shoot and kill by the police.He was due to be married later that day, walked out of a Queens strip club, climbed into his car with two friends who had been celebrating with him. He died in a hail of 50 bullets fired by a group of five police officers.
So i created this collage in memory of this injustice

artist Clarence Lin calls our attention to the crisis in stark black-on-white prints. Each print in ‘thewarchildproject‘ displays a silhouette of an armed child soldier - one for each of the thirty-six countries that have been reported as using children on the front lines. With an estimated 300,000 children under the age of 18 serving in both government and rebel forces worldwide, this is both a thought-provoking series of prints and totally worthwhile project to get behind.

I was at a project site in Dumbo, brooklyn NY. The crew was cleaning up and cutting wood scrap into smaller piece. i saw a scrap piece of plywood. so i decide to make something. i started cutting with a jigsaw and when i was finish the nadnock face was made.

MASK DAY

IT WAS the odour associated with natural gas - the telltale sulphur scent that typically signals a gas leak.

But this time it spread to many areas of Manhattan and nearby New Jersey, coursing through buildings and leading to fears of a possible explosion or that a dangerous chemical had been deliberately released.

Schools and office buildings were evacuated. A subway station was shut and commuter trains were re-routed. Government security officials were put on alert. Fire engines raced through the streets, while Coast Guard vessels patrolled New York Harbour.

Twelve people were taken to hospital after complaining of minor illnesses or injuries.
